Here’s a little sneak peek from the wedding I shot yesterday at the beautiful VanLandingham Estate in Charlotte, NC. It was such a beautiful venue for a wedding.

I can’t stop singing this tune in my head while I edit her photos. I love the song anyway but Caroline is indeed ‘sweet’. The lyrics just make me think of that bond between a mother and daughter:

I’m sure you’ve heard of that “glow” they speak of when referring to how pregnant women look during their nine months. Well, Rachel is a perfect example. Rachel’s husband is a friend of mine from high school and they have a beautiful little girl and one on the way. Well that is they “had” one on the way. Rachel had her second blessing a little early. Can’t wait to meet her!
Rachel reached out to me to document their first year of life with the new baby. Everything step from maternity to one year old. So you’ll be seeing them quite a bit on the blog this year! I love everything about this shoot! Rachel looks absolutely stunning in her 8th month of pregnancy. The camera loved her. I’m sure you will too!

Somehow it escaped my attention that Andrea and Mike were getting not just on March 17th, they were getting married on St. Patrick’s Day. How I did not think about this is beyond me. So the day before the wedding, I started to get nervous when I realized Charlotte would be participating in the largest bar crawl in history not to mention there was the annual parade in uptown as well! Which meant the closing of several main streets and thousands of people participating in this bar crawl. So there were literally green shirts crawling the streets.
Once we were in the presence of Andrea, all thoughts of St. Patty’s day and green shirts went out the window. She was stunning and calm. Her bridesmaids were friendly and helpful. It was the most relaxed pre-wedding shooting you could want. The ceremony was held at Historic St. Mary’s Chapel on 4th street in uptown Charlotte. This church is wonderful for small ceremonies. The historic feel and the park surrounding make for a beautiful setting. The reception followed at the Ritz-Carlton. Everything was simple but beautiful and the air was filled with celebration. There were a ton of smiles, laughs and guests on the dance floor. The perfect reception!
Andrea and Mike were wonderful to work with because they just were so at ease around each other and seem to be a no muss, no fuss kind of couple… just my style.
To Andrea and Mike – I wish you all the happiness in the world! I loved photographing your wedding. Cheers!!

We’re so happy for Chase and Katie that they welcomed their son into the world. He has the most handsome little cheeks. I saw images on Facebook before I made it over there to photograph the little guy. I kept seeing his cheeks and it made me more and more anxious to get him in front of my camera.

all of these are gorgeous, Kasey- I especially loved the ones of the wedding at Saint Mary’s Chapel- I got married there a long time ago- ours was the second wedding there after the city redid the chapel and the grounds- there was mud then, not as much grass – think you really captured the beauty of the place and the occasion, as you always seem to -
