Take your shoes off, get comfy and look around. You'll see, I'm a big fan of real people and real moments.
In many ways business is business but, to me, business is also personal.
I want to tell true stories. Beautiful stories. Stories with scuff marks. Ones that radiate joy and embrace imperfection.
I believe life is too short to try to be someone else. I want you to let go of everything you think a photoshoot SHOULD be and be you. Many of the photos we are taking are not just for you, they are for your kids. Your nieces. Your grandsons. Your friends. For the people who come after you. They may only ever know you by these photos, so the question is, how well do you want them to know you?
I'd love to capture the real you.

A mix of photography and digital with @procreate.
I recently saw something that said in the next few years, 98% of what we see online will be AI.
Not here. Not for my clients. Except maybe removing a street sign or something in a photo.
I share all my own work and clearly I write my own captions.
Drawings that look like photos or photos that look like drawings?

Seeing your art on 100 t-shirts is crazy. Tuesday night I photographed @congregationsforkids #weseeyou annual event. There’s a little clip here of the volunteer hub and every grey shirt you see is like the one I’m wearing with my drawing on it. ☺️
I touch on CFK from time-to-time here. I have been working with them for about 9 years. I help them run their social media. But in addition to that, I sometimes get to throw my designs in the hat for fun things like t-shirts and graphics, or a step-and-repeat (the one behind me in pic 2, which was really a collab with the awesome @hillarymerwin). I also photograph their other annual benefit gala - Something Big.
Not gonna lie the “Yay cookies!” is my favorite. 🍪 it’s not just a sticker to me, it’s about every time someone who came smiled because of it.
We See You is an over-the-top, multi-church, community-wide event radically celebrating caregivers and advocates in the child welfare space. “Radical hospitality” we like to call it.
This year I also partnered with them to photograph a golf tournament for @martinmariettamaterials where I donated 100% of the proceeds to CFK.
I say that not to brag but to prove the point that everyone can do something. Could I normally donate that kind of money? No. But I knew I could help one charity event while also benefiting my favorite nonprofit. To me that was a win/win.
So for me, sometimes I give the talent with which God blessed me. Some people can become foster parents. Some people can flat out donate. Or some people can use their platform to share about CFK and ask people to follow them and support the incredible work they are doing for foster care right here in the greater Charlotte area.
Everyone can do something. Find your something and help our city’s vulnerable kids. >>>@congregationsforkids<<<
How I feel trying to finish everyone’s photos before Thanksgiving. 😂
Swings will forever be one of my favorite photo activities. @irescue
