First wedding of 2012! It was unusually warm in Charlotte, but it could not have worked out better for this couple. Ya never know what to expect when your wedding is planned for the end of January. You could have rain, sleet, snow, freezing cold weather, wind… you name it. But someone was looking out for Ali and Mark. As you can see below there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. They ceremony was held at the St. Mary’s Chapel on 3rd Street in Charlotte. In case you’ve happened to miss it, it’s a beautiful little chapel in uptown that sits near CPCC and 277. It almost seems out of place. It’s owned by Charlotte Parks and Recreation so there are no services held there, it can be reserved for special occasions. I even had a deposit down for my husband and me to get married there before we decided to elope. Following the short ceremony there was an intimate reception for family and friends at Bentley’s. The food was amazing and the vibe was warm, inviting and fun.
It was almost unbelievable how at ease they seemed before the ceremony and I kept thinking “if only”. If only every bride could take tips from Ali about how to stay calm, collected and happy on their wedding day. If only all men looked at their wives the way Mark looked at Ali following their ceremony. Their kind and genuine nature made them a pleasure to photograph. I’m so happy Kelly Hill of Grace Hill Photography asked me to come along to shoot this wedding with her. To see more images on her blog, click here.
Congratulations Ali and Mark! Cheers to forever!!
